Monte Alban

Hey!
...thats too bad Montezuma stretched forth his mighty blade of revenge to dusty. Thats never fun. I´m kinda used to that though. its not nearly as alarming as it was at the beginning of the mish. sometimes the food just destroys you but you just gotta keep on goin. it doesn´t happen nearly as much as I thought it would though. i`ve actually been pretty fortunate. I`ve just had a dang cold for the last 15 weeks that gets better, then I eat one chocolate and BAM! it hits again. also this dang area has a TON of dust in the air always mixed with lots of diesel exhaust so i´m constantly sneezing. I´m not the only one though so at least i´m not suffering in solemnity. The allergy pills have been helping out a lot.

so ya, its still almost 90 degrees here daily but at night it gets a little chilly. its just gonna keep getting hotter though until july. march april and june are the hottest months here. when we come back as a family we should come in december or january. its nicest during that time. summer is those three months I just said and then it just rains non stop in july august and september. then its tranquilo nov, dec, and jan. i´ve officially been here long enough to know the weather cycle! booyah! I miss the cold. not gonna lie. the people here are so anti-cold they wont even put ice in your drink because they legitimately believe that it will make you sick. haha. kinda lame. but sometimes I just want to be able to walk around in a sweater or light jacket with a little wind. and 50 degree temps. thats my favorite.

so today we went to Monte Alban as a district!!! is was SUPER fun!!!! we got some cool pics which are attached. Its basically a ruins sight here by my area kinda like chichen-itza but not quite as intense. it was still way fun though. Its going to be so much more fun to visit mexian places as a tourist now that I speak spanish. I felt WAY more comfortable than when we would go places like that as a fam before the mission. none of that apprehension that comes with feeling a bit alienated from everything even though right in the middle of it. it was cool. and we could talk about the americans who were there in spanish and they didn´t know what we were saying :) hehe. we didn´t say anything bad about them or anything. we basically didn´t say anything about them at all, but it was cool that they didn´t know what we were talking about between us.

so thats the highlight of this week! other than that just got the shoulder to the grindwheel. we had 9 less actives come to church this week :) it was sweet. I hope everything is going good for you!!! I love you and miss you like always :)

love,
Elder Henze
